Kuryente Markets is the Philippine Stock Exchange analysis vertical of Kuryente News, built for the Filipino investor. We turn market data into plain-language analysis, screens, and education so that more Filipinos build wealth by investing rather than gambling.

Who runs it

Kuryente Markets is published by Kuryente News Multimedia Service (DTI Business Name No. 7940702, ISSN 3116-4307), based in Maslog, Sibulan, Negros Oriental 6201, Philippines. It is the markets vertical of Kuryente News, an independent Philippine news outlet covering local-to-national civic journalism, including Negros Oriental.

Why we exist

Too many Filipinos treat the future as a lottery. We think investment literacy is a public good — that understanding the stock market, dividends, and risk is something every Filipino deserves access to, not a privilege locked behind expensive platforms or intimidating jargon. We exist to make that knowledge ordinary. This is the same civic-journalism mission that drives Kuryente News: information in service of the public, not extraction from it.

What makes us different

  • Bilingual by design. We publish in English and Bisaya, and Bisaya is a first-class language here — original journalism written for Bisaya-speaking readers, not an afterthought machine translation.
