Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kuryente Markets. By using the site or buying Premium, you agree to them. Last updated 15 June 2026.

1. Who we are

Kuryente Markets is operated by Kuryente News Multimedia Services, a Philippine publisher. You can reach us at info@kuryentenews.com.

2. The service — information, not advice

Kuryente Markets provides market data, analytics, and educational tools about the Philippine stock market. It is for information and education only and is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. We are journalists and analysts, not licensed investment advisers. Any decision you make is your own — please see our disclaimer and consult a licensed professional before investing.

3. Accounts

Signing in is passwordless: we email you a one-time link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. Accounts are for individual use; don’t share your sign-in link.

4. Premium access passes

  • Premium is sold as a prepaid, one-time access pass — a 30-day pass (₱149) or a 12-month pass (₱1,499).
  • There is no auto-renewal. Your pass simply expires at the end of its period. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel; you renew only if and when you choose to.
  • Premium currently includes unlimited portfolio holdings and portfolio risk analytics (Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar, maximum drawdown, volatility, Value-at-Risk, and beta vs the PSEi). Features may be added or changed over time; we won’t remove a core feature you paid for during an active pass without offering a fair remedy.
  • Prices are in Philippine pesos and may change; an active pass is honored at the price you paid.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by PayMongo, a Philippine-licensed payment gateway, via GCash, Maya, GrabPay, or card. We never see or store your card or e-wallet details — PayMongo handles them. We keep a record of the transaction (plan, amount, date, reference). See our Privacy Policy.

6. Refunds

Because Premium access is delivered to you immediately, access passes are generally non-refundable once your access period has begun, except where the law requires otherwise.

However, if you were charged in error, charged more than once, or could not access Premium because of a fault on our side, email us at info@kuryentenews.com within 7 days of the charge and we will review it and issue a refund where appropriate. This does not affect any rights you have under Philippine consumer law (Republic Act No. 7394).

7. Acceptable use

Use Kuryente Markets for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Don’t scrape, resell, or redistribute our data or analytics, attempt to break or overload the service, or use it unlawfully.

8. No warranty & limitation of liability

Market data can be delayed or contain errors, and the service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kuryente News Multimedia Services is not liable for investment losses or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes affecting paid users, notify you by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Questions? Email info@kuryentenews.com.
